Legal Guide
Massachusetts Cannabis Delivery Laws
Massachusetts has specific rules governing cannabis delivery. Here is what customers and retailers should know about the Cannabis Control Commission regulations.
The Cannabis Control Commission (CCC)
The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission regulates all adult-use cannabis in the state, including delivery. Delivery operators must hold a Marijuana Courier license under 935 CMR 500.
Age verification
Every delivery requires government-issued photo ID proving the recipient is 21 or older. Couriers verify ID at the door before completing any delivery. No exceptions.
Residential delivery only
Massachusetts law requires cannabis delivery to residential addresses only. Deliveries cannot be made to commercial locations, public spaces, or federal property.
Delivery hours
Licensed couriers may deliver between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM daily. These hours are set by the CCC and apply statewide.
Purchase limits
Massachusetts adults 21 and older may purchase up to 1 ounce of cannabis flower or 5 grams of concentrate per transaction. Edibles are limited to packages containing no more than 100mg of THC total.
- 1 oz flower per transaction
- 5g concentrate per transaction
- 100mg THC max per edible package
